The Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office has responded to planned protests over nationwide immigration arrests that will take place this weekend throughout Idaho.

A high number of arrests throughout the United States by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has spawned scores of protests nationwide in the past several days. More than 200 people have been arrested in Los Angeles in the past 48 hours over protests that turned violent and destructive, according to details shared by NBC News.

Most of these rallies have been peaceful and carried out with little to no physical confrontations, but some have been fueled by President Donald Trump's deployment of American troops to certain cities like LA.

Idaho rallies are planned in multiple locations this weekend, including Twin Falls, Gooding, Ada, and Lincoln counties, according to one Meta website. The Twin Falls City Park will likely be a gathering spot for some local protestors.
