WATCH: South Idaho ‘Karen’ Needs Holy Water To Cure This Meltdown
Wow. Just wow.
Lord knows we've all seen it transpire in public. There's no way I could begin to try to estimate how many times I've witnessed a "Karen" carry out a complete and total public meltdown over something completely ridiculous. "Karen," as most of you already know, is a slang term given to a middle-aged, white woman that has a tendency to have public outbursts that generally target business employees with foul language and excessive shouting.
Of all the Twin Falls businesses I've spent time and money in, Walmart seems to attract the highest frequency of these types of interactions. It seems to happen every time I'm there. It doesn't matter if it's a grocery store, a restaurant, a bank, a funeral home, or some other business, a "Karen" can strike at any moment, and anywhere.
A video uploaded a few months back at an Idaho Falls Dairy Queen shows a woman scolding multiple staffers over the fact the fast-food restaurant was closing. The video reminds me of the scene from The Exorcist when Father Karras splashes holy water on the possessed child Regan. This woman had the mother-of-all meltdowns.
(WARNING: Both videos may make viewers uncomfortable. Foul Language can also be heard. These videos are not appropriate for kids)
The Dairy Queen/Karen video was taken by a DoorDash employee and has racked up over 900,000 views in just 12 months. It's important to remember that in 90% of these types of confrontations between people and business employees, the employee is simply following rules and doing their job. There's no reason for this type of behavior.
