Weather Window Closing To Find Missing Yellowstone Park Hiker
With less than a week left in October, the weather will soon present challenges for those who enjoy hiking in the mountains of the western United States. Rescue teams are still carrying out a search for a 22-year-old man who disappeared in Wyoming six weeks ago.
Hopefully, rescue teams can take advantage of the next 48 hours of good weather and have success locating King. Our thoughts and prayers are with Austin's family.
Austin King hasn't contacted his family since September 17, according to details shared by theindependant.com. The last time his parents heard from him was shortly after he had completed the summit of Eagle Peak, Yellowstone National Park's highest point at 11,367 feet. According to the Independent, Austin's family recently returned to Minnesota after weeks of searching for him to regroup.

Eagle Peak is located 60 miles northeast of Jackson Hole. Rescue crews from multiple cities have been participating in the search for King. The region has already received heavy snowfall which has halted efforts, according to reports. Internet vloggers have begun producing videos to update viewers on the story.
The Eagle Peak forecast through Sunday (10/27) is mostly sunny, but those conditions will change for the worse next week. An approaching storm system will bring heavy snow at times to the region on Monday, with a continued chance of accumulations through Friday, November 1.
Hopefully, rescue teams can take advantage of the next 48 hours of good weather and have success locating King. Our thoughts and prayers are with Austin's family.
