There's just no excuse for littering. Laziness is a trait that plagues many Americans, and when a person feels so apathetic that they think it's alright to toss garbage anywhere they want, it has a ripple effect on others.

One thing that really chaps my ass are people who litter. I might toss a piece of gum out the window from time to time, but I've never thrown or left garbage in nature or along the roadway, and when I see it lying somewhere where I enjoy going to relax and take in the scenery, it annoys me to no end.

Unfortunately, the West Coast is rightfully on blast when it comes to the trashiest (litter, not people) cities in America. According to trashcansunlimited.com, San Francisco, Portland, and Los Angeles all made the country's top 10 list. Having lived in southern Idaho for many years, one of the things I appreciated the most about my fellow residents was their disdain for people who pollute.

As more and more people continue to relocate to the Gem State, the more waste the state will have to deal with. I spent a lot of my free time kayaking at Idaho spots like Balanced Rock Park, Twin Falls Park, Thousand Springs State Park, and in the surrounding areas of Stanley Lake, and you can always find garbage lying around.
