Southern Idaho is crushing it right now as far as being targeted by some of the country's most popular fast-food chains for expansion. In-N-Out, Wing Stop, Raising Canes, and Texas Roadhouse are all either eyeballing moves to the Magic Valley or already have opened new locations there, and there's more than enough space for other chains to get in on the game.

Southern Idahoans might be tired of new restaurants popping up throughout the region, but more $20-plus dollar-an-hour jobs are a good problem to have. Twin Falls landed a new Wing Stop back in June, and plans of In-N-Out and Raising Cane's opening doors in new spots in the city appear to also be taking place.

Freddy's has eight Idaho locations, but none in Twin Falls yet. The chain has been blowing up since opening its first location in 2002.

I moved out of Twin Falls in 2021, so I wasn't there when the state's first In-N-Out burger opened just outside of Boise in December of 2023. I certainly wouldn't have been in one of the cars in the reported 8-hour drive-thru wait, but it was exciting to hear the California chain broke ground in the Gem State. I've never had Raising Cane's but I've heard good things about the food.

Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers is another chain that is reportedly expanding heavily in 2025. They were featured in eatthis.com's "42 Fastest-Growing Restaurant Chains" write-up from a few days ago. Freddy's has eight Idaho locations, but none in Twin Falls yet. The chain has been blowing up since opening its first location in 2002.
