The Worst Part of Living in the Magic Valley
The Magic Valley is a terrific place to raise a family and to live. It is often quiet compared to other areas, the air is clean, you can see the stars, there isn't much traffic, and there is plenty to like. There is a reason that it is quickly growing, and that is because many have discovered how nice it is to call the Magic Valley home. There are many things to like, and many that move here, rarely leave. As good as the Magic Valley is, it is by no means perfect, and there is one major flaw that sticks out, which is the worst part of living in the area.
The Worst Part About Living in the Magic Valley
While the Magic Valley has plenty of good qualities, there are a few bad ones as well. The worst of them all though is that on Sundays, far too many retail stores and eating establishments are closed, or they close too soon. The area is heavily religious, and many owners decide to honor the Sabbath by closing their businesses on Sunday. While many residents respect this and understand it, it does make it tough when looking for a place to go for dinner on a Sunday for a birthday, an anniversary, or a special event. Options become limited, and make other places more crowded, since they are the only options left.
Too Many Places Closed on Sunday in Twin Falls
Recently, my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, which happened to fall on a Sunday this year. When it came to finding a nice place to eat, options were limited as the places at the top of our list were closed. To add to this, finding something to do without kids was limited as well, as many places closed early or closed altogether on Sunday. It makes it tough for couples to have a romantic date night when some of the higher-end places are closed. If a place chose to be open on Sunday, it would likely do good business, as there are limited options. This is something many residents have complained about for years but is unlikely to change anytime soon.

If complaining about restaurants and stores being closed on Sunday is the worst part about the Magic Valley, then the area is doing pretty well. For some, Sunday is the only day they have off of work, and eating a meal out or running errands is a nice way to spend it, but it becomes tough when they can't do that on Sunday. Hopefully, some restaurants will choose to open on Sunday going forward, giving more options to residents, but for now, appreciate the places that offer their services on Sunday.
