Warning: 50 MPH Wind Gust Advisory for Southern Idaho

A High Wind Warning is in effect for southeast Idaho while a Wind Advisory has been issued for the southwest regions.

The National Weather Service advises preparations for the wind, which could cause power outages, blow around unsecured objects, and be dangerous for high-profile vehicles.

For the Western Magic Valley, the Wind Advisory is in effect from 9 AM Friday morning until 9PM that evening. Northwest winds will be constant between 25 and 35 miles per hour with gusts as high as 50 miles per hour expected.

The same warning has been issued for the Boise area in the Upper Treasure Valley which includes parts of south central and southwest Idaho east of Boise.
