Tuesday and Wednesday will be the coolest days of the week, with temperatures in the low-seventies. Of course, we still have the month of September. If tradition stays the course, the excessive heat should be behind us.
The excessively panting bear can be seen resting its head on the corner of the plastic, $9.00 pool, which noticeably stretches to maximum capacity and barely supports the weight of the large animal.
It is supposed to get really REALLY hot for Twin Falls over the next 10 days. If you are planning on heading out and about this week or if you just don't like the heat, we have a fun little poem for you to recite to yourself as you melt.
Say what you want about our friends in Oregon, but they are not boring. A great example is how one Oregonian dealt with the recent heatwave. You really need to see this one to fully appreciate it.
I was an unabashed fan of the 1989 Batman movie around the time of its release (particularly after it hit VHS), but the years have worn down my appreciation of it, and quite a few aspects of it don't entirely stand up to the scrutiny of a critical lens anymore.
There are a few pieces of media related to the film, however, that I feel just as positively about as I ever have. The Prince soundtrack, for one. And for another, the Sunsoft-developed game for the Nintendo Entertainment System that included a few cutscenes with lines from the movie, and largely ditched its plot otherwise. I took a stroll down memory lane with it, and it still holds up.
You may ask yourself why am I watching a video of a dog who can't swim? You may tell yourself because I can! That's all I got.
I'd just like to thank the Talking Heads for that one. As for the dog who can't swim, I don't know why I watched it, but I did and the dude in the background does sound like Norm Macdonald...
OK we get it - It's HOT! Even this dog is trying to get cooled off. However, I like how the dog's owner keeps laughing while saying "no." She obviously means "yes!" Either way this is entertaining.
Either this is a case of pure insanity, pure dumb ass-ness or just someone who is really really hot on the subway and just trying to get through life so stop judging them just because they think it's completely OK to just drop trough in a public area with no regard for sanitation...
There's no doubt it's been hot out there and I myself are even wearing flip flops right now, which I love! (I hate wearing shoes) Speaking of hot, it could get up to 96 today!
But it's not like I'm staying cool by wearing that horrible neon green "V" thing Borat wore? I know I tried to block it out too...but it seems this motorcyclist remembers it fondly.
