This week, The Barking Owls from Kimberly, Idaho are back to take on Brain Ward!
First off meet "The Barking Owls" from Kimberly, Idaho:
The Barking Owls plays an original blend of music, drawing from pop, folk, rock, country, and bluegrass. The band's diversity of styles is reflected in the variety of instruments used to support their literate hooks and vocal harmonies, including guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, harmonica, and various percussive instruments. The Barking Owls is currently working on their first recording project.
The Barking Owls have a very cool sound and very unique. Which is why I think I enjoy their music so much. Actually, they pegged themselves as "Grunge-Grass." Sounds like something illegal to me, but I like it!
"The Barking Owls" is a four-piece:
- Erik Wenninger vocals, guitar
- Andy Cluff banjo, mandolin, vocals
- Adam Crofts bass, upright bass, vocals
- Karl Sloth drums, percussion
- And the co-song writer, who shall remain name-less.
See them for yourselves...check out all their show dates here.

Here's "The Barking Owl's" Song "Long Tall Country Boy":
Next up, please meet Reveeler out of Ogden, Utah:
The band is currently on hiatus, so no interview...sorry ya'll. However, I pulled some info about the band from their ReverbNation profile:
On hiatus, but watch us on Comcast's On Demand/Utah/Local Music from 10-7-12--Jan!!!!!!
We try to combine the melody of 70's&80's hard rock like Zeppelin, Scorpions, and Iron Maiden with the intensity of 90's&00's metal & hardcore like SlipKnot, and Tool.. Our music, fierce, shredding, and haunting, attempts to convey the human condition of mankind. But rather than just bitch about dark times, we try to offer hope and incite provocative thought thru heavy rock & melodic metal. Conceived in the fall of 2007, H'ween 2012 marks about 50 shows, with about 80 different bands.
Now here is their song, "Virtual Reality":
- Tonight's show (Wednesday, November 7th, 2012 at 7PM - after the BSU Coach's show at 6PM) will re-air this Saturday (November 10th, 2012) at 9PM...after the BSU Football game.
- Voting closes at midnight on Monday, November 12th.
