Thomas Rhett Reveals New Single ‘Unforgettable’ [Listen]
Rhett returns to a familiar theme with "Unforgettable," celebrating his life and love with his wife Lauren.
"I bet right now you’re probably thinking that it’s crazy I remember every detail but I do / From your blue jeans to your shoes / Girl that night was just like you / Unforgettable," Rhett sings in the chorus.
"It’s a song about reminding the girl that you’re with today, ‘Hey, I remember every single detail of the night we met,’” he tells the Tennessean in an exclusive preview of the song.. “I think it’s something girls will find sweet and attractive about someone they like. It’s one of Lauren’s favorite songs on the record … which definitely makes me feel better about it."
Rhett wrote "Unforgettable" with Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley and Shane McAnally. The song is the second single from his highly-anticipated upcoming third studio album. "Unforgettable" drops officially on July 28. The first single from Rhett's new album, a duet with Maren Morris titled "Craving You," recently reached No. 1.
The superstar posted part of the song to Instagram along with a video message in which he's spray painting a logo that looks like his Home Team logo, adding the message, "New things headed your way, starting with y'all #hometeam!."
Rhett and Lauren welcomed their adopted daughter, Willa Gray, in May, and they are expecting their first biological daughter in August. The singer says the album after this next one will be dramatically impacted by those life changes.
"The last 20 or so song titles I’ve put in my phone have been about my daughter. I feel like the whole next record is going to be a pretty mushy one about my kids," he says.
