By now, most Christmas lovers have their trees decorated and displayed in front of the largest window in the home. One south Idaho man recently did an amazing job of harnessing the spirit of the holiday by sharing a video of his outdoor lighting efforts and capturing a light snowfall simultaneously.

Tis the season for showing off our Christmas trees. Ours has been up and decorated since late November. We went with a six-foot Douglas Fir this year and couldn't be happier with our choice.

I'm not sure we'll see a better symbol of the holiday in southern Idaho than what this man shared with the rest of us in the early morning hours of December 17.

This year we didn't have a window to head outdoors and cut our own tree down, so we went with a store-bought one. It's been a few years since my family and I explored the South Hills of Idaho and came home with a freshly cut tree.

Many Idahoans not only decorate their indoor trees for the Christmas season, but they put some holiday flare into the ones on their property as well. There's nothing prettier this time of year than the combination of snow falling and lights twinkling in the evening hours.

A Preston man recently shared a video to YouTube that really embodies the holiday spirit. The bright tree topper, red and green lights, and lightly falling snow in the yard made for an unreal image. The only thing I might have done differently is add some Christmas music in the background to drown out the traffic noise.

I'm not sure we'll see a better symbol of the holiday in southern Idaho than what this man shared with the rest of us in the early morning hours of December 17.

LOOK: This is What Happens When You Let Idaho Kids Name Snowplows

Remember, when you see a snowplow on the highway - get out of the way, don't ask for names, just know it's one of these guys!
