Being A Local Celebrity Ain’t Always Good
I'm a DJ and a blogger, but when I talk, people recognize my voice, which is cool and that means I'm doing my job well. However, if they recognize who I am after I've just cursed them out...That's NOT good.
I realized this fact last weekend when I got pretty ugly drunk and sang horrible karaoke. I sang me some Roxanne by the Police. I sucked, but I did keep my clothes on so it wasn't so bad. And since I was ugly drunk I was cursing and drinking and being myself. :-)
However, mid-ugly drunk, a friend of mine says to a fellow ugly drunk person, "Hey have you met Kendra Wolfe? She's a DJ." Of course I'm polite and I love meeting listeners and I really do love my job, don't get me wrong. It's just sometimes, I just want to be a regular, beer drinking, smoking, cursing drunk. And not just a stupid drunk DJ. Plus poor behavior even when I'm not working could get me fired. Then again, I would rock the intercom at Wal-Mart.
