Soon that familiar tune will be heard up and down Southern Idaho neighborhoods that signifies curbside cold treats are coming our way.
No matter where you grew up, the ice cream man/woman provides a lot of nostalgia for most of us. I remember my dad pulling a five dollar bill for my brother and I to get what we wanted.
There were few things I looked forward to more during the summer months than that silly jingle coming out of that rooftop speaker. It's comforting to know that artificial intelligence will probably never take jobs away from the ice cream truck drivers of America.
What Treat Do Idahoans Look Forward to Most from the Ice Cream Truck Driver?

If I had to pick one treat from the ice cream man that best summed up my childhood summer indulging it would be either those small ice cream cups with the little wooden spoons or the ice cream sandwich.

I recently came across a Reddit post from Americans discussing their favorite childhood treats they used to get from the four-wheeled vendor of all things yummy and cold. Honorable mentions included the Fudgesicle, Drumstick, Choco-Taco, Snow cone, and the character pops (SpongeBob, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mutant Ninja Turtles) with the bubble gum eyes.
One website, Frozen Desert Supplies, named Huckleberry as Idaho's overall favorite ice cream flavor, which I'm a bit skeptical about. It turns out the average American eats over 20 pounds of ice cream a year, according to FDS.
