Now that Halloween is behind us we can start focusing more on menus and less on ghoulish decorations. November is all about planning visits and stockpiling supplies for the big dinner.
Not to throw shade on Halloween, but I've been waiting to turn the calendar to November for the past several days. Thanksgiving has always held a special place in my heart because it's the one meal of the year where many of us are sitting down with loved ones we haven't seen in a long time.
And, of course it's about the food too.

It doesn't matter if you prepare a table for four, or 14, the most important thing about the holiday is sharing conversation, laughter, and good food with those most important to you.

Personally, yams are my least favorite Thanksgiving Day food option. It doesn't matter how many marshmallows you put on top, they just leave a lot to be desired. My favorite side dish is stuffing, which I know many people don't care for either. The point I'm trying to make is, we all have different palates.
My ideal Thanksgiving menu consists of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, Caesar salad, and rolls with butter. A nice glass (or four) of red wine or champagne, and that's a wrap.
According to a survey compiled from Twitter Data and found on Meta's 'Terrible Maps' page, Idaho's least favorite Thanksgiving food is turkey. It's perfectly alright to serve brisket, prime rib, pork roast, or lamb in Idaho as an alternative to a gobbler.
Another survey put together by Instacart and The Harris Poll found that the most despised Thanksgiving dishes in America are candied yams, green bean casserole, and cranberry sauce.
