What Would You Do? Adults at Kid Attractions in the Gem State
What Would You Do? What would you do if you were at an attraction aimed at kids, a theme park, or a carnival, and saw grown adults there without kids having fun? Would you find it odd that they have no children? Would it make you uncomfortable? Would you be jealous that they are there having fun kid-free, while you are there at the mercy of your children? In 2024, most people view everyone at a fun place without kids in an odd way these days, but should society judge these adults, or is society right to question them?
Adults at Kid Attractions
There is nothing wrong with adults wanting to have fun. When you have children, it is like being a kid again. You can take them to play laser tag, to a trampoline park, a water park, and arcades. Nobody thinks anything of it, because you are with your child. Most parents know, that while you claim to be taking your child, many parents are excited and want to join in on the fun. What happens when an adult also likes these fun things but has no kids? They are at the same place, doing the same thing, but because they have no child, they are frowned upon. Is it ok for them to be there, or should they go elsewhere and find a different source of entertainment? What do you do if you see a childless adult at an arcade, a waterpark, playing laser tag, or another attraction aimed at children and families?
Adults Playing Near Kids in Idaho
Recently, I was at an attraction geared towards children and families and saw two adults there having fun. They never bothered the children, were laughing, and having fun, and nobody thought much of it. These two adults, both were women, but had they been males, would it have been viewed differently? Does age play a factor? If two adults in their 20s are at a place having fun, is it viewed differently and more safe, than a couple of middle-aged adults? They aren't breaking any rules, and they aren't bothering anyone, yet for some reason when adults are at a place of fun, they receive dirty looks and it makes parents uncomfortable. There always appears to be at least one parent that either leaves, says something to the adults, or says something to employees at the establishment, but should they have to do anything?
So long as the adults don't talk to the children or bother them, it shouldn't be an issue, but some parents will still be bothered by them being there. It isn't common that situations like these occur, but they do pop up from time to time. If you are out with your children and see adults at a place that seems odd without kids, what would you do?
