What would you do if you dropped your phone in the toilet?  For me it depends on what kind of phone is it and is the phone alone or does it have company?

In today's case, one of my coworkers not only dropped his phone in the toilet, but it had company.

I've been told that the phone may stop working only because of all the Lysol that was used on it and not the "other" liquids in question.  So how often does this kind of thing happen?

According to a Plaxo survey:

19 percent of people drop their smartphones down the toilet.

So that means that an average family of five, one of them has or will drop their phone in the toilet.  That's some scary statistics.

Maybe we should ban phones from the restroom, just for their own safety?  According to NY Daily News:

Approximately 75% of people take their cell phones into the bathroom with them, according to a survey by the marketing agency 11Mark.

What I want to know is, what would you do?  Sound off in the comments below, answer our poll, and or call in and tell me about your experience at 208-737-60-70.

Happy hunting...for your phone.
