The 2025 Twin Falls County Fair kicks off at the fairgrounds in Filer on Wednesday! For many locals, something will be a miss when those gates open at 7 A.M.

One of the region's major food vendors will not be attending this year's Twin Falls County Fair, marking the end of an era that spanned decades.

READ MORE: Change To Idaho Fair Has Many Upset This Year

Tater Pig potatoes, in one form or another, have been a staple in states like Montana and Idaho since the mid-seventies. Many southern Idaho residents were crushed to hear the news that Tater Pig will not have its familiar booth at this year's county fair.

The Tater Pig folks posted a message recently on the Magic Valley Rants / Raves thanking the community for its support over the years.

'We know a lot of people come out for tater pig, and we just want people to know (they won't be there) so please spread the word. Thank you for all the support our booth had for years'.

The newest and perhaps most exciting addition to the fair will be pig races, which will take place three times a day through Sunday. For all the information regarding this year's Twin Falls County Fair, click here.
