Twin Falls ID Forecast: Teen Temperatures, Heavy Snow On Its Way
The first January weekend of weather for 2025 in the Magic Valley is trending heavily toward snowfall. Wood piles and kindling will need to be replenished for an approaching cold front that could bring a combination of rain and snow to the region off and on for two weeks.
January is historically one of the snowiest months in the Pacific Northwest, and an approaching cold front should drop a few inches between January 4th and 16th in southern Idaho, according to multiple websites including myforecast.com. There do appear to be a few breaks in the weather during this period, but not many.
Monday, January 13 a more intense system flows into southern Idaho which will drop temperatures into the teens for the first time in months; it's expected to bring snowfall for the majority of the week.
Twin Falls could see its first 2025 blanket of snow beginning Saturday (January 4) as temperatures will drop to near 30 degrees overnight with a 65 percent chance of precipitation, according to myforecast.com. Monday and Tuesday (6th and 7th) look to also have a high likelihood for snow in the lower elevations, followed by a 48-hour break before another cold front arrives with more snow on Saturday, January 11.
