I need to know the story about a home I saw while kayaking the Snake River this past weekend. It's become an obsession of mine, and there doesn't appear to be any real public information about it.

A group of four of us launched our kayaks out of Twin Falls Park on Sunday, and spent four hours exploring the area east of the Idaho Power facilities. For those of you that have either boated, jet-skied or kayaked in that area of the river, you know how beautiful it is. There are caves, a dozen or so waterfalls, and an enormous, futuristic-type-property perched on the canyon's edge, which makes time spent there a visual treat.

I knew I wanted to learn more about the property when I got to work today, however, there doesn't appear to be any public information on it. Google Earth can locate it, but only provides aerial data. The only information I could find about the property, which is where E 3950 N ends, in Kimberly, has to be wrong.

Every real estate website I visited lists it as a three-bedroom dwelling, at about 5,000 square feet, with a value of $500,000 and change. There's just no way that's accurate. This home is easily worth a few million dollars, and has to be in the ballpark of 10,000 square feet at least.

Does anyone know anything about this place? I spoke to two realtors today as well, and they were also a tad perplexed about the home. I've heard rumors a dairy, or a dentist, might own it. Judging by the Jetsons-esk design, I'm guessing it was built in the past two decades. It reminds of a place one might see in Gattaca.

Here are a couple of other reasons to visit this part of the Snake River.

The next time a Batman movie is going to be made, studio scouts should feature this killer looking cave that is in clear site from the river below.

The property I'm curious about is perched on the canyon's edge, up, and to the left of where I took this photograph.

Please message me if you have any details about this magnificent property. And certainly, go explore this area of the state. You won't regret it!
