WATCH: Yellowstone Park Man Sips Hot Spring Water, Washes Self
Throughout the years living in southern Idaho, I've heard and read about some pretty unbelievable stories about people doing insane things while visiting nearby Yellowstone National Park.
A recent video that has gone viral with well over 6,000 views shows an older man do the unthinkable while walking the wooden platform around one of the park's hot springs.
Most people are aware that thermal pools contain a bunch of bad stuff that can make someone very ill and even cause death. Acid, arsenic, bacteria, and a slew of heavy metals are swirling around in these pools, and putting any part of your body in them--let alone drinking from them--is not a wise thing to do.

I'm not sure that the word 'touron' can even sum up this Instagram video from a few days ago. The publish date on the clip is July 14, 2025.
(WARNING: Video contains bad language)
You can actually hear people gasp in the video and respond in a stunned manner.

'What the f^%$!', one person can be heard saying. 'That must taste like s$#@!', another voice blurts out.

Park staff might have to start screening tourists for intelligence soon. Maybe a diploma of sorts will be needed to enter Yellowstone soon. To state the obvious, drinking poisonous, scalding hot water is never advised.
