Best Buy Unloads GNR’s “Chinese Democracy” For $1.99
I can now afford to buy my entire family their very own copy of Guns N' Roses "Chinese Democracy" now that Best Buy is attempting to unload the suck-tastic album for just $1.99. Basically, Best Buy paid a butt load to be the sole distributor for their album, the album bombed, and now Best Buy is kinda screwed.
Then again, this could be good for you. If you absolutely love GNR no matter what they put out, then you can get an entire album for just $1.99 HERE.
Simple math suggests Best Buy has close to a million copies collecting dust in its stores and warehouses – no wonder they're looking to unload the album at any price; retailers aren't fond of stale inventory cluttering up their systems.
Honestly, this is strange because the album was certified platinum:
Released in November of 2008, "Democracy" was officially certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on February 3, 2009 for shipments in the United States in excess of one million copies.
I don't get it. So have you purchased the CD? Will you now that it's so cheap?
