If NOAA is Right, There’s a Chance Our Magic Valley Winter Won’t Suck
NOAA just released their winter forecast for the end of 2017 and the start of 2018. If they're correct, our Magic Valley winter might not be bad. We said "might".
Here's the deal: Southern Idaho is right on the line between "will maybe be wetter and warmer" or maybe normal. "Maybe" is a great weather word.
As you can see on the map above, we could have a normal winter, but that blue area with 33% MORE precipitation is really close to us. Then, look at the temperature map. It's also fun.
It's good to be orange on this map. It means a warmer winter. Again, southern Idaho is right on the bubble.
Here's one of the NOAA weather guessers trying to explain what these maps mean.
I think that's weatherman Mike telling us he doesn't know what's gonna happen. Read the full NOAA winter forecast and see what you think.
The good news, as we learned last winter, if you don't like the weather in Idaho, just wait a few minutes.
